Sony Pictures has released the first movie trailer for the adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert’s best-selling memoir Eat, Pray, Love, directed by Ryan Murphy and starring Julia Roberts.
Elizabeth Gilbert had far and away the most mentions in this week’s media. Her new title Committed: A Sceptic Makes Peace with Marriage picks up where Gilbert left off in Eat, Pray, Love. Having vowed never to tie the knot, Gilbert and her partner find themselves caught between a rock and an altar. Smile or Die: How Positive Thinking Fooled America and the World by Barbara Ehrenreich, in which she argues ‘that the insistence on being cheerful actually leads to a lonely and dangerous inwards focus’, was also popular. Elizabeth Kostova made the charts again with The Swan Thieves as did Stephen King with Under the Dome–Media Extra.
