John Silvester and Andrew Rule are household names these days, so it’s no surprise that their latest book Underbelly: The Golden Mile is proving to be popular with the true-crime fans. It comes in at number one in the Fastest Movers and number three in the Bestsellers charts this week. Sweet Little Lies by Lauren Conrad is number one in the Highest New Entries chart and Stieg Larsson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo remains top of the Bestsellers–Weekly Book Newsletter.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson is still popular with book-buying folk after Christmas and is top of the Bestsellers chart this week. James Patterson’s Worst Case sits at number two followed by Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol. Elizabeth Kostova’s The Swan Thieves is number one in the Highest New Entries charts and crime-related books continue to flourish with Underbelly The Golden Mile by John Silvester & Andrew Rule the fastest mover this week.

Bestsellers this week

On the back of the film The Reader, the book of the same name by Bernhard Schlink hits number one in the Highest New Entries chart this week (see film tickets giveaway for more). The Reader is followed by Paul Dillon’s insightful manual, Teenagers, Alcohol and Drugs, which earned five stars out of five when reviewed in the Summer 08/09 issue of Bookseller+Publisher magazine. The ‘fastest mover’ this week is Underbelly: Tale of Two Cities by John Silvester & Andrew Rule as the TV show returns to our screens with a bang. Stephenie Meyer takes the top six spots in the Bestsellers chart.
