What’s Hot in the Media 23rd November 2009
Shrinking the World: The 4000-Year Story of How Email Came to Rule Our Lives by John Freeman made the top of the Most Mentioned chart this week. William Dalrymple, award-winning author of City of Djinns, also made equal top with another book about India called Nine Lives: In Search of the Sacred in Modern India. Ray Martin continues to garner favourable mentions for his newly released autobiography Ray: Stories of My Life. This was also the case for Playlisted: Everything You Need to Know about Australian Music Right Now. Bryce Courtenay’s new book The Story of Danny Dunn didn’t get as much press this weekend as we’d expect from a high-profile author, but perhaps there’ll be more to read in the coming weeks.
