What’s Hot in the Media 26th October 2009

Author of the wildly popular Tully and The Bronze Horseman, Paullina Simons is now in Australia to promote her new novel A Song in the Daylight. Australian fans will be particularly chuffed to discover that a portion of the book is set in outback Australia. Also, Barry Humphries is getting plenty of press for his book Handling Edna (facetiously subtitled The Unauthorised Biography). In it, Humphries details how Edna went from a modest Moonee Ponds housewife to moving in the most elite social circles in the world, which entailed advising the Queen and schmoozing with many a Hollywood star. Other titles getting mentions were Bart: My Life by J B Cummings, Andrew McGahan’s Wonders of a Godless World and David Foster’s Sons of the Rumour.
