Listing a book for sale on Boomerang Books

Boomerang Books does not hold large quantities of stock and we will generally only order a book from the publisher upon receipt of an order from a customer.  Accordingly, we do not buy quantities of books from publishers without a firm order.

To sell your book on Boomerang Books, follow these instructions:

• Authors/Publishers in Australia.  It is necessary for you to establish an account with a major Australian publisher or distributor.  Suggested distributors include Dennis Jones and Associates, Peribo and print-on-demand provider, Lightning Source.  All books listed with these distributors are represented in the Boomerang Books database.
    
• Authors/Publishers in the UK.  It is necessary for you to establish an account with book distributor Bertrams.  All books listed with Bertrams are represented in the Boomerang Books database.
   
• Authors/Publishers in USA/rest of world.  It is necessary for you to establish an account with book distributor Ingram.  All books listed with Ingram are represented in the Boomerang Books database.

Some books appear in our database, but are listed as 'Sorry - this book is not available'.  In this case, the publisher does not have an established account with one of our supported distributors.  It is necessary for the publisher to establish an account with one of these distributors before the book becomes available on Boomerang Books.

If the book is listed as 'Sorry - this book in available' but you DO have an account with one of the distributors listed above, please advise us via our online contact form and we will endeavour to add the book.

Altering an existing listing in the Boomerang Books database

If your book listing is incorrect or needs to be changed, it is necessary for you to contact our data provider at support@nielsenbookdata.com.au and make changes at the source.  Changes made locally to the Boomerang Books database will be overwritten by the source data during our regular refreshes, therefore, it is in the best interests of the author and publisher to rectify the data issues at the source.  Changes will generally be reflected on the Boomerang Books website within 14 days, as we take a fortnightly feed from our data provider.

Sample copies and book giveaways

Boomerang Books is happy to receive samples of Australian books for use as giveaways (signed copies are very welcome!) from established publishers. In return, we will showcase your book in our fortnightly newsletter (currently sent to approximately 15,400 recipients), on our website and via our Facebook and Twitter assets.  Please contact us for information about where to send your sample copies.

Please note that we are unable to accept giveaway copies from self-published authors or overseas publishers, due to the volume of books received.

Book reviews, author profiles and other content

Boomerang Books is always looking for quality book reviews, author profiles and other relevant content to publish on our website.

In the case of book reviews or critical comment, we request that you become a Member of Boomerang Books and post reviews directly to the appropriate book page using the review function or Facebook Comments function.  The 'Write a review' link can be found beneath the 'Add to Cart' button on book pages.
